Have you ever thought about how walking can be a key to open the window of history? In the world of classical art, painting has always played such a role, and artist Zhang Haoqiang, with his unique perspective, has chosen walking in everyday life to open countless small windows, recording the bits and pieces of life. Now, the exhibition "Opening Windows Through Walking" will take you on this exploratory journey.
This exhibition aims to explore the relationships between travel, immigration, mobility, and geography through the everyday act of walking, as well as the intertwining of walking with memory, identity, and culture. The exhibition will be presented in various media, including painting, photography, video, and sound art, creating an experience that intertwines the body and place, time and space, through audience participation.
The exhibition is divided into four parts, each symbolized by a window, opening up different perspectives.
The first part, "Windows in Time," presents the artist's year-long walking trajectory through photography and performance art, allowing the audience to experience the flow of time and the changing landscapes of different regions.
The second part, "Windows in Text," combines text and digital coding to explore the relationship between walking and thinking.
The third part, "Windows in Sound," allows the audience to experience the sensory changes of walking through sound.
Finally, "Facescape" transforms the traces of walking into facescapes and uses virtual reality technology to allow the audience to experience the fusion of virtual and reality.
The exhibition aims to inspire the audience to reflect on walking, memory, identity, and culture. The artist's works will bring rich emotions and inspirations, and we cordially invite you to come and experience this unique art journey.
