About the exhibition:
The factory-turned artist village and arts centre – Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) – is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Factory-made: JCCAC 10-year Retrospective Exhibition is a showcase of milestone events and highlighted programmes of this significant art hub in Hong Kong that has presented a wide range of arts and cultural activities by local creative talents for our community. This exhibition features works by resident artists, including Cheung Ho Keung, Edward; Chui Tze Hung, Montgo; Hui Fong Wah, Phoebe; Hui Hoi Kiu, Angel; Zhang Zhe, Ban, who took inspiration from the Shek Kip Mei neighborhood and the concept of old meets new.
Factory-made is part of JCCAC’s 10th anniversary programmes, “Factory Forward”, which alludes to JCCAC’s roots as a cottage factory that has transformed into an arsenal where art is created and deployed, as its creators transcend to reach new audiences and partners.
